For the Meta booth at OMR 2026, Ellermann produced the textile core construction: the entire floor plan was recreated with wave-draped curtains – three layers of fabric one behind another, rounded passages at varying heights. Soft in effect, a matter of millimetres in execution.

The combination of tall fabric panels, rounded shaping and multi-layer draping placed the highest demands on fabrication and installation. The enormous height of the curtains was the greatest challenge – a prime example of Ellermann's core competence in custom textile construction.

At OMR in Hamburg – loud, fast, digital – Preuss Messebau realised the Meta booth from a concept by the Berlin agency UNDPLUS. On 113 square metres an architectural mix of classic and modern emerged: curtains and rounded arches met concrete-look surfaces and mirrors. As the textile specialist, Ellermann was responsible for the design centrepiece – the space-defining fabric construction.

Overall view of the space-defining fabric construction at the Meta booth

The entire floor plan of the booth was recreated with curtains. The fabric was laid in even waves like a drape – three layers of fabric one behind another created depth and complexity. The dimensions were considerable: across a total run of around 200 metres in length and heights of up to 7 metres, a textile surface of nearly 1,400 square metres emerged. The particular difficulty lay in the rounded passages at varying heights: what appears soft and light was in reality a matter of millimetres.

The greatest challenge was the cut-outs. They had to be executed precisely and stepped across all three textile layers – each layer offset exactly to the next, so that the rounded passages interlock cleanly and the multi-layer sense of depth is preserved. Three layers of fabric, rounded passages and continuous wave draping across the full booth height: what reaches the viewer as a light, almost floating spatial envelope is the result of precise textile craftsmanship.

The textile construction became the visual highlight of the Meta booth. The wave-draped curtains gave the space structure, depth and a distinctive atmosphere – a successful example of how precise textile work brings a demanding agency concept to the floor. A strong appearance for a brand everyone knows.
